We were able to upgrade our portal to the latest maintenance release, but due to issues with Ubuntu’s repositories being down tonight, we were unable to complete the upgrades to BIRD.

All services on rs01-ipv4 and rs01-ipv6 have been restored and we are hands off again.

We’re going to re-group and find another time to perform the BIRD upgrades.

Greetings FL-IX Members,

As previously mentioned, due to ongoing concerns with the version of BIRD, the route server software we are running at FL-IX, we will be performing an emergency upgrade on Monday, October 27th at 8pm Eastern Time (-4 UTC).

The upgrade may take up to 3 hours to complete.

During this time, you will see rs02.ipv4 and rs02.ipv6 drop sessions and return. Please ensure that you have sessions built to all 4 route servers. Sessions to rs01.ipv4 and rs01.ipv6 will remain up and will not be affected by this maintenance. They will be upgraded at a later date.

Additionally, access to the FL-IX portal will be down during the duration of this maintenance.
