A few members reached out that noticed a burst of traffic (~2.4G per member port it seems).

 

A short while ago, while we were adding an additional port for a member, we started to see a large amount of BUM traffic across the IX, causing an issue for some members. We shut the port down fairly quickly and went about the turn-up differently as well as isolating it from the IX before returning them to production. That resolved the issue.

 

We’re still investigating the root cause to determine what process should change so this doesn’t occur again.
