Greetings Community IX members, Last week, Community IX announced the expansion to Northern Virginia in the form of CIX-NoVA (https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20250826069178/en/Community-IX-Expand...). Today, we have additional news regarding CIX-NoVA, FL-IX, and CIX-ATL. In our CIX-NoVA announcement, we mentioned that we are offering the first year free for 10G and 100G ports with a 2-year term, but 400G ports were not included in that promotion. Since our announcement, we have received some feedback from new CIX-NoVA members asking if we could include 400G ports. With that, I took the request to our Board of Directors at our monthly meeting this past Tuesday, and we held a discussion on the matter. In the end, we voted to add 400G ports to the promotion. New CIX-NoVA members may now receive one-year free on a single 400G port with a signed two-year agreement. We’ve had such an overwhelming response to CIX-NoVA and I truly thank all the new and existing Community IX members for joining us in this new market. Our plan is to be online by month’s end. Additionally, at CIX-NoVA, we are going to offer 100G-LR1 ports (in addition to 100G-LR4). You must specifically request this as part of the provisioning process, so please let us know if this is desired. I’d like to welcome both CoreSite and iM Critical to the FL-IX family! Both data centers should come online during the month of September. At CIX-ATL, we have been investing in DWDM upgrades between data centers and installing 32-channel 800G capable DWDM Open Line Systems to seamlessly add intersite capacity as we grow. We recently completed these upgrades between Equinix, CoreSite and Digital Realty. This past week, we placed an order with our vendor to add this solution to QTS Atlanta Metro. Lastly, as we approach 100 members at CIX-ATL, the Community IX Board of Directors have decided to sunset the first-year free promotion in this market by the end of the year. If you are currently a FL-IX member and not yet a member of CIX-ATL and have been considering it, I urge you to take advantage of this promotion now before it ends on December 31st, 2025.
