Greetings FL-IX Members,
As you are most likely aware, due to ongoing concerns with the version of BIRD, the route server software we are running at FL-IX, we will be performing an emergency upgrade on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 at 2am Eastern Time (-4 UTC).
The upgrade may take up to 3 hours to complete.
During this time, you will see rs01.ipv4 and rs01.ipv6 drop sessions and return. Once we confirm that rs01 sessions have returned and are stable, we will then proceed with upgrading rs02 and you will see sessions from rs02-ipv4 and rs02-ipv6 drop and then return. Please ensure that you have sessions built to all 4 route servers.
