This maintenance has successfully concluded, but please note:
It seems some members have already enabled this feature on their end. This feature will raise the maximum-prefixes you receive from our route servers by about 70k prefixes. I see a handful of sessions down on rs01 (206.41.108.4). Please raise your maximum-prefix filter to 450,000 on both sessions (206.41.108.4 and 206.41.108.5) and clear any session that is down due to max-prefix reached.

Greetings FL-IX Members,
On Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026 at 1am EDT, FL-IX will be performing route server maintenance on both route servers. This maintenance will allow us to introduce a feature called ADD-PATH (Read about it here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7947) that many of our members have been asking for. We have been testing this feature at CIX-NoVA for some time, and we feel we are ready to implement it now at both FL-IX and CIX-ATL.
Since adding this feature requires sessions to reestablish, you will see your BGP sessions with the route servers go down momentarily. We are staging this so that this will be added to one route server at a time. Sessions will drop first on rs01 (206.41.108.4/2001:504:40:108::1:4), reestablish, stabilize, and then we will add the feature to rs02 (206.41.108.5/2001:504:40:108::1:5) and the process will repeat on that route server.
If all goes smoothly, this should not be disruptive to our members. Please assure that you have sessions established to both servers before the maintenance period.
The maintenance period will be from 1am-2am, and most likely will be completed within 30 minutes of commencement.
